The Colorless WorldAmerica was no more. World War Three had ended America’s life and out of its ashes rose the Nova Monarchy. 2016 marked the beginning of the Colorless Century. Monarchy replaced democracy and kings replaced presidents. The first king of the new empire of Nova announced that everyone was to be remade equal. No one would be left behind. The people of Nova submitted to their government’s will tiredly. They just wanted peace and if their compliance would allow them time to grieve their losses, then so be it. The color of flesh, hair, and eyes was erased. Racism completely collapsed with the removal of accents. This set in motion a domino effect. Now that discrimination against race was removed it left in its place discrimination against everything else. The insane cycle continued until everyone was left pale-skinned, white-haired, gray-eyed, neutral voiced copies, surrounded by a gray world of concrete and metal. Equality had stripped away individuality. No one had names anymore
Colorless WorldGray world gazing down,
Empty streets in darkness drown.
Weak-minded pale subjects sleep,
Outside their fears in shadow form creep.
Weary feet throb from endless dance,
Necks sore from every backward glance.
Colors gone, all gone, no more here,
Color only brings insult and fear.
Weary tongues chanting lies,
Equality comes when individuality dies.
Hide you color, bleach your soul,
Drain the world, down the hole.
Black, white, and gray,
Filters strip all you say.
Fit the mold and join the herd,
All the same, all one word.
Blue-eyed traitors beware,
Death lurks everywhere.
Colored ones born all alone,
Colorless world, oh how you moan.
Nova oh Nova a concrete abyss,
Nova the land of mindless bliss.
White skin, white lies,
Black clothes, gray eyes.
Live until death,
Waste no breath.
Take your script, learn your lines,
Obey the rules, avoid the mines.
Red, green, purple, blue,
Color means death no matter what hue.
Embrace the gray, embrace the gloom,
Lose yourself and escape your doom.
